About John Deere

The Position

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software for a broad spectrum of Deere equipment functionality with a focus on Precision Ag.
  • Operate in a scrum team environment on varying projects with direction from project leads.
  • Provide product support of the system(s).

What Skills You Need

  • Experience in embedded software development using C++, C#, Java, or other Object-Oriented languages-Academic or Internship experience applies
  • Experience in design, development, and testing
  • Understand real-time operating system concepts
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability and experience working in a self-directed mode

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Demonstrated understanding of Object Oriented Principles
  • Demonstrated understanding of inter process communication and multi threading
  • Experience with C++ QT and/or QML
  • Experience developing in a Linux environment

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • BS Software/Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering
